Welcome to Atlanta!
We are so excited that you’re interested in visiting us at Drew Charter School. We appreciate your attention to our students and look forward to furthering our relationship with your institution.
A few notes before your arrival:
We are excited that the 2016-2017 school year will be our first year with all four grades at Drew, and our first class will graduate in May of 2017. Our students are an impressive bunch, and open to all post-secondary possibilities.
Drew employs a project-based, experiential, practicum-oriented educational model with a STEAM focus, that works to complete the cradle-to-college pipeline and ignite passion within each student to create positive change in the world. The College and Career Readiness Team is happy to speak with you about the ways in which Drew’s curriculum and educational environment differs from the other schools you might be visiting in greater-Atlanta.
Our beautiful building is brand new, and sometimes Google Maps has a difficult time locating us. Please note that the Senior Academy is located at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Alston Street, Southeast. The College and Career Readiness office is on the 3rd floor. There will be ample parking in the staff lot, which is immediately on your left when you enter campus. Please note that Google Maps might direct you to Charles R. Drew Elementary School which is directly across E. Lake Blvd from the Senior Academy. Also, be aware that there is a nearby, unrelated high school called Charles R. Drew High School in Riverdale, GA, so be careful not to mix us up! We apologize for any inconvenience.
With questions about scheduling a visit, please utilize repvisits.com, or reach out to Emily Herman, College Counselor, at Emily.Herman@Drewcharterschool.org, or 470.355.1200 x1011.
We look forward to welcoming you to our campus!
